It is with a very sad and heavy heart that I bring you this news. Our precious Dorothy passed away last Tuesday evening. Per her request, we are not having a funeral service. Instead we are having a “celebration of life” party on November 5^th. We will have more details for you soon.

In lieu of flowers, we would appreciate a small donation to the American Cancer Society, or other cancer research of your choice.

I can’t tell you how much it means to me to have had a mother that has touched so many lives, from coast to coast.

Thank you for your prayers and thoughts. It means so much to us. Please know Dorothy loved each and every one of you, and was so happy doing what she loved every day.

As for Caledonia Fine Fabrics, we will continue to serve our loyal customers with the same love, attention, and style, as Dorothy taught us to do. Her passion for fine materials was contagious, and she taught so many of us to appreciate them. It is this passion that carries us forward into new adventures, with loving memories of Dorothy in our hearts.

Hello everybody, Kristen here. We would love to have a blog to keep you all updated, especially those of you who don’t follow us on Facebook.

We have been working so hard to get the shop beautiful and organized! It’s not perfect, but we are getting there, slowly but surely.

For those of you wondering about Dorothy, she is still clinging stubbornly to life. Unfortunately, she is no longer able to get  out of bed, but she is the sweetest, most graceful patient. She is most content when Harry is with her, and thankfully she is not in any pain.

We extend our thanks to all of you during this difficult time. We really could not have done it without all the love, help, and support of all of you, our wonderful customers.
